I recently purchased a Velocity Micro PC from Best Buy. On the side of the box it says that my Q6600 CPU has been overclocked to 2.8ghz. I have emailed Velocity and asked them how I can tell that my CPU is actully running @ 2.8ghz, I am still waiting for their reply. Is there any way I can find out myself if my CPU is in fact running @ 2.8ghz? I ran Everest and it says all 4 cores are 2.4ghz. Any suggestions? Please remember I am a newbie. Thanks in advance.

Download CPZ. It will tell you your multiplier and buse speed. Open calculator and do the math and you have your answer.

Download CPU-Z and run it. It will tell you the processor speed, multiplier, bus speed etc.
CPU-Z

Clock speed = Multiplier x Bus Speed

Edit: james1701 beat me to it.
