I have been runing SETI for a few months now, how can I join the team anandtech?
On the FAQ, it state that it should only take 4-6hr for each unit. Now the question is WHY it take me average 16+hrs to finish 1?

My rig
AMD 1700+ @1673MHZ
2X 256MB PC2700
60GB MAXTOR
ATI AIW 32MB
W2K
NF2 MB

Welcome, Hottie!

I see nobody else has hopped on this so you got me. 🙂 Usually folks around here swarm like flies to rotting meat when someone asks a question ... :Q😉🙂

To Join TA, just follow the link in my sig.

Your rig should be processing wu's in probably around 3:30 or perhaps less. Are you running the CLI or the GUI?

I have two 1600 XP's on ECS K7S5A's running DDR 2100 at stock speed that process wu's in about 4:00, so you should be getting considerably better times than that with your overclock...

I think you're right OD. It's gotta be the GUI.

Change to the CLI version and your times will be much better.

Good luck and welcome to the TeAm!! Let us know how things are going.

🙂

I missed this one myself. 😱

Welcome to Team Anandtech Hottie! 😀

(and what they said about the CLI version 😉 ) and check out some of the add-ons, if you want to monitor your WUs. 🙂

Thx for the reply, my ISP is down last nite:| so I can't try it out. But for sure I will try it out tonite. 🙂
