My wife uses Napster very often--She downloads MP3s and also listens to streaming audio. If I convert her PC from ethernet to 802.11g, would she notice a degradation of the downloading/streaming performance?

If she Streams Stereo Mozart, Beethoven, and Pavarotti is her favorite singer, it probably will not be as Good.
For regular ?Noise? Music it does not matter.

Give it a Try and see if you can detect the differences. My wife claims she can. :QOriginally posted by: amdfanboyOk Jack, you should know thats not true, Wireless is the same as Ethernet only slower. But they are both faster than your Internet connection. I stream everything from classical to hardrock, I can't tell the difference between wireless and wired.

Wireless is WAY different than ethernet. There are scant similarities like CSMACD but not much else.
