I'm trying create a 2-pc network using Netgear FA310 NIC cards and a CAT5 crossover cable. (I'm connecting to internet using 3COM Etherlink.) One PC is running win98 and the other win95. When I look at Internet Connection Sharing under system properties (win98 system), it says NDIS.VXD could not load device driver. When I run install, problem is I cannot locate file "protman.dos". I have run "find file" on system and disks but cannot locate file.
On win95 system, the FAT310 card is not installed because I cannot find file "ndishlp.sys".
Any suggestions?

i have no clue what that's about. try a proxy server. if you're just using the net/email (no gaming) then use a freeware proxy like AnalogX or SpoonProxy. but if you're a hardcore gamer like me, then get a good proxy. those freeware ones give a lot of packet loss (at least for me). but getting a good proxy like WinRoute or Winproxy will solve that problem. winproxy and winroute you have to pay for....get a crack or something for it. 😱
