Just installed seti at home, what are some of the best optimizations to get better results. I'm completing work units in 2hours on my P4 2.6C@3.2ghz with 1000mghz fsb. I would also be interested in joining the Anandtech team, if anyone can join. Sorry for the general questions. Thanks

I assume you must be running the CLI version :)

I don't know of any optimizations, but i'm sure someone will pop in with some suggestions. Welcome to the TeAm! :)

First of all Thom, welcome to the TeAm! :D

Does your P4 have HT? Don't know if that can improve the performance, might want to try it out.

I'm sure someone will come along with better suggestions haha but good luck.

Get v3.03 CLI ,its about 15% faster on most WUs :)

Oh yeah ,if you've got HT enabled ,set SETIdriver to 2 processes ,you'll get a big boost in output:D (WU times will be a bit higher, but production will go up)

Welcome to the Team btw:)

Welcome to the team!

Make sure you are running the 3.03 CLI client with setiDriver. And assuming that your P4 has HT set the number or processes to 2.

Is you Seti name the same as your forum name? I enjoy watching new members sprint their way from the bottom.
