Ok; I'm at a crossroads. I have a palamino 2100+, 512 ddr 2100 stick kingston valueram. Don't want to give them up and want them to work on a motherboard that will game well, grow well, and use them well. Seems to my pea brain that all motherboards need better ram or are limited to what I had (kg7r or a little better if I waste some money here which I do well).

I want a nice motherboard w/ no onboard video that will accept a higher fsb and memory but use mine as well. Should I just ask Santa or is there a board out there for me? I don't want to replace my memory but would like a board that will last like (gasp) a year or so w/ no upgrades.

Thanks anyone for reading.

If your Palamino isn't unlocked, you probably won't get far, maybe look for an AMD board with PCI/AGP lock(maybe some Nforce2 boards have this feature). Oh the MSI KT3/4's(and perhaps other KT333/400 boards) 1/6 divider kicks in at 152MHz, but you'd still be limited by your RAM if it doesn't overclock well.

An A7N8X delux can work with a Palomino. True you wont see blistering speed, but it takes PC2100 and has tons of upgrade potential.
