Newb HT question: DTS > DD ???

Yeah, I will eventually get a sub but for now it sounds great. I need to cap this project right now, I spent wayy more than I wanted to, but that's how it goes 🙂 I originally wanted to get a HTIAB setup but I would rather have quality parts than a cheap setup. Got a model # so I can research it? 🙂

Your HT receiver has a lot to do with the sound too. My Kenwood VR-2080 nails DTS, but is "meh" in DD. Every DVD w/DTS that I play on it sounds awesome. Every review I've read about my receiver says the same thing. My setup is mismatched, and nowhere near the quality of some people's setup on here, but it's been good for me.

Sure thing, but I'm still waiting on the 2500watt amplifier (the two dedicated 30-amp lines are in though). HDTV (Voom service) won't be in until tomorrow either, and I'm still trying to figure out the 12v switch on the 100" 16:9 screen. Been working too hard, need to spend more time playing with the home theater.
