What band is T-Mobile on, exactly? I'm looking for a phone that has slightly better specs than my Optimus V. I like the phone but I have a fever for an upgrade. I don't personally like how huge the Triumph is. Kind of looking for something on a TMobile band that's a nice compromise between the OV and the SGII.

One more question, please: is TMobiles 5GB data plan and Google voice a good plan? What do u guys think?

Thank you.

T-Mobile uses 1700/2100 MHz, which is unfortunately not very common worldwide. AFAIK the only unlocked HSPA+ device that works on it is the Galaxy Nexus. There are a handful of 3G devices that will work, like the Nexus S, Nexus One, and Nokia N8.

look at the upcoming htc one s.

do you plan to use google voice via a voip service like grooveip? voice alone is not a voip solution, but it can replace your texting plan via the google voice app.

Awesome! That is so helpful THANK YOU!" I don't mind 3G speeds at the moment because I don't need HD video but the GNex is too big and I don't like it, so the Nexus One might be just right!

I don't know. I thought Google Voice was voip? I'm new to tech so I don't understand much. But are you saying Grooveip would be better?

It's funny because - to me - Google Voice pretty much does everything but offer VOIP. You can send and receive SMS, it has voicemail and voicemail transcription and you can forward and route calls, but you can't make VOIP calls without setting up a service from someone else.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing that bro. That IS funny. Google Voice does all that over IP but no Voice? Wtf that's misleading a little. Ok... Google Voice. MMS and voicemail, but no voice, got it thanks

Going to pick up a Nexus One tomorrow. It's got some scratches and a name carved in the back (wtf?) But it's only $85 so I can screw around and not feel paranoid about breaking it. I may sign up for T-Mobile data for a month and give that plan a test drive. I'm excited about the change, thanks for the help guys! You rock.
