I have a couple cooling and other computer questions

my goal: silent but adaquate cooled microatx PC

the objects I will definitly buy for sure for the setup

Athenatech Micro ATX Case w/ 200W Power Supply, Model A100SC.200
ASUS Micro ATX Motherboard for Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron Processors, 800Mhz FSB Model# P4P800-VM
Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4CGHz 512k socket 478 Hyper Threading Technology 800 MHz FSB

the hard drive I want but need opinions on noise level and what could I use to cool it down. Since I will have two 3.5 bays, one for the hard drive and an empty one for whatever device is out there that could cool it down quietly. Any ideas? (I was leaning toward the zalmon hard drive heatsink but that doesn't really cool down and fits in 5.25 bay)

Western Digital Raptor 36GB SATA WD360GD 10,000 RPM 8MB Hard Drive

Now for my video card I plan on getting the Zalmon zm80c VGA cooler and fan to get rid of the loud stock hsf, so anyone think this would ruin airflow since its so big or should I get a PCI fan also?

I intend to use the Zalman CNPS7000 to cool the P4, not sure if it will do the job in this case since I've read its crowded and pretty hot.

I assume the power supply will be loud so does anyone think I should mod my case with a penaflo fan or buy a silenx micro atx power supply if they fit.

I also plan on replacing the two 60mm fans that already come with the case with vantec stealth 60mm fans, and put a penaflo M1A 80mm fan in the empty front fan spot. So I was wondering if I buy this fan speed controller can it make the M1A fan lower the RPM to the same specs as the L1A (24cfm and 21dBa) because I want to raise rpm whenever I play games and then lower it when idle.

a few more question is should I use the front fan as an intake and then all the air goes through the back? Do CD-RW drives work sideways? Any opinions?

I'm not too well informed on Micro ATX (I'm going to assume this is SFF Small Form Factor), but I don't think CD/RW drives work sideways (or upside down). How would you properly keep the disc in the tray while it's loading? Think about it. Good luck on all the rest. Pentium systems RULE!

its not as small as SFF and its not as big as a full tower PC. I also decided to go for a slot loading dvd-rom instead.

Yes they will work sideways but if they do it will specifically say horizontal or vertical installation in the spec.
