Pretty much what the title says.

I'm about to buy a Dell 2405FPW, and I'd like to buy a new vid card (running an FX 5900XT right now).

Can my processor make the most of the 6800GT, or is it overkill.

I'm WAY green here. I co-built this box, but not without help from my kind and wise brother-in-law. 🙂

I searched around a bit, but couldn't find anything definitive.
