New Zelda to be announced at next E3?

Miyamoto wants to according to this post from Kotaku. It is in the works as Miyamoto showed concept art featuring a late teen Link and Zelda to a roundtable of game journalists.

Why couldn't they show that off given how lacking the info on the WiiVitality Sensor was?

Even if Zelda Wii is more than a year away I'd still love to hear about it. Nintendo certainly didn't seem to mind "announcing" things at this E3 that we were already well aware of (motion plus, etc)

Because they always remake old games, never anything new. Sure they are great (usually), but why cant they make a new IP? MS and Sony have new IP's that are great all the time. Not always exclusives, but on the console.

They probably wouldnt sell well though, because the Wii is not catered for that crowd. Madworld is a great game, and got great reviews, but sold very, very poorly. Just 66k its first week. The Wii is simply not for this kind of game, that may scare devs to make games for it, that arent for the younger gamers.

The new Meteroid looks great, and Im sure Ill buy it, and any new Mario and Zelda game. Got Punch Out last week, and its a lot of fun. But they are all remakes, Id love a new line of games from them. Their next console will do the same thing. Ive bought Mario 10+ times now.

Nope. Most devices don't need one. I've had the same Ti-83 calculator for 9 years and it doesn't have a single scratch on it. I've had the same Gameboy Color for 10 years and it too has a perfect screen. I've had a DS for less than a year and it has already gone through 3 screen protectors. Who the fuck thought making games that require you to swipe at the screen was a good idea? The World Ends With You and Zelda Phantom Hourglass require you to slash at the screen just to play the game.

Gran Turismo FOUR, God of War THREE, Halo THREE, Forza TWO, Gears of War TWO... there have been TWELVE fucking Zelda games, now going on 13. There are sequels and then there's not having any new ideas. Nintendo's hardware dept seems to innovate, but their software dept can't pump out a god damned thing that isn't mario or zelda. They seem to depend on 3rd party titles, which are shitting the bed as well as far as I'm concerned.

Don't tell me you put God of War and all those others into the same category as zelda as that's just naive and strikingly stupid for a so called gamer.
