New Zalman ZM-MFC2 Fan Controller

I was excited about this too until I read a review that said you can't display output voltage to the fans. Just RPM.

Just talked to Zalman USA...Guess they worked out the QA/QC problems

They got 100 Units, 50 for marketing and 50 to Sharka Computers for sale.

Go get 'em at Sharkacorp.com when they show up.

Peace,

It has 3 temp senor input and 3 fan headers tho, but it looks a hell of a lot cooler. Its PLED incase you guys want to know.

knowing zalman, it will most likely cost about the same. :T

The Zalman is 55 dollars at Sharka, and a heckuva lot cooler looking IMO.

then a matrix orbital?

Where you can custom the LCD display to read out whatever you want? including weather, F@H, temps, and all the other nice goodies?

ummm, i guess its personal taste. Personally, i think you cant beat a PLED. :T

And its another option for people to look at if they want fancy front display

Yeah, I like the Zalman too @ $55, and with the power consumption meter. With 50 of these units going for PR, we should see some reviews soon. Post back with results if any of you get one.

Just bought the MFC2.
Im very disappointed, the display looks great if your looking directly at it,
change your view by more than 10-15 degrees and you cant read any
of the numbers.

Looks like Zalman went cheap on the display, thats to bad,
i really like their case and fans.

Hope they do better next time.

Forgot 1 more surprising thing.

The zalman 9700led fan is 3 pins,
the zalman mfc2 using a 4 pin connecter, hence
my 4th fan monitor is wasted.

Funny how they cant get their own products to support themselves

WTF u guys at zalman thinking?

@gooseneck:
The Zalman 9500/9700LED heatsinks use conventional 3-pin fan connectors. The 9500/9700AT heatsinks use the 4-pin Intel PWM fan connectors. 3-pin and 4-pin connectors and headers will still work together, but you won't get the PWM functionality. The 4-pin fan header on the fan controller is for a PWM-enabled CPU fan, but will still work with any 3-pin fan. Thus, you can use all your fan headers.

Thats cool and all on the power draw sensor.... BUT! they should make an internal one just for my case 😀 I would hate to lug around a case with that.

I have the old Zaman fan controllr that I just love to death!!
My friend at ^%$#* computers forwarded me a new MFC2...I had no problems hooking up my 9700 to the unit and the readouts were more than adequate...
Then again I would have also paid double to have real sweet readouts!1

As usual the zalman is a quality product!!
