I had stoganoff. New Year's Day is the time for having the special dinner and that is Sauerkraut, pork, and mashed potatoes. it's a PA Dutch thing. supposed to bring good luck.

good luck as in going to prison where you can eat that twice weekly?

cooked an 11lb prime rib yesterday, so ill be having leftovers from that.

Tomorrow i'm cooking a pork shoulder, bratwurst, hungarian sausage, kielbasa, and apple-cinnimon sausage with apple/bacon sauerkraut all day while I watch football.

local italian joint called valentino's for some good ole spaghetti and meatballs and peroni. then off to wetter pastures.

wow, you guys eat very well..do you guys eat like this every night or this is the special NYE menu?

I eat like that about twice to thrice a week. I am more partial to their Chicken Parmesan, or Chicken Marsala, but I chose to go with a classic tonight, it's good drinking food.

made pasta - spaghetti and tortellini (cheese/garlic) - with homemade alfredo. And these disgusting green giant "broccoli bites". Burned the garlic bread obsessing over teh alfredo which turned out amazing.

Steak and Lobster green salad and baked potatoes and asparagus

Wife and I seriously considered the ny strip I bought on sale at publix today with baked potato and asparagus as well. No lobster - she won't eat anything from the sea. Ended up with the pasta as above.
