Ham baked in some kind of brown sugar 'sauce', plus some really good cheese potatoes that bake in the oven, and not sure what else - I suppose bread and applesauce and stuff.

So what is ATOT having? Maybe it's not a big dinner night for people so I guess most are having chicken wings / party type meals?

Having a few friends over for Chicken Cordon Blue, salad, wine and veggies. Then B Movie night starting with a not so B Movie "Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-blog"

Going out for dinner, but will probably have the truffled beef carpaccio and the roasted tomato, goat cheese, and pesto tart. Best dishes at the place we are going IMO. Maybe some dessert after if I'm feeling frisky.

Beef wellington with twice baked potatoes and prosciutto wrapped asparagus.
I'll break out a nice Shiraz I have been saving to go with it (or maybe a Malbec...or a Pinot Noir).

Dessert will be apple strudel.

Heading over to some friends early on, so pretty much something starchy before we go. Pizza rolls, most likely.

about to heat up a can of vegetable soup.

I've got a leg thing and had to cancel my NYE plans since my doc told me I shouldn't be walking around... I've got an exciting night planned of laying on the couch and watching cheesy gay cult movies (currently watching Gypsy; up next is Mommie Dearest)

A grilled 2 lb. porterhouse (the strip is mine and the wife gets the filet); sliced yukon gold potatoes, onoins, and garlic coated with oilve oil and baked until they're browned and crispy; and spaghetti squash finished off with butter, pepper, nutmeg, and a dab of brown sugar.

Later there will be champagne followed by tuna tartare and sausage stuffing, if ya know what I mean.

Going to go find somewhere. This is going to be a complete PITA.

I was planning on cooking dinner for her, but uhm...having the parents and brothers home kinda kills that, lol.

I had stoganoff. New Year's Day is the time for having the special dinner and that is Sauerkraut, pork, and mashed potatoes. it's a PA Dutch thing. supposed to bring good luck.
