I just realised who you are Dave. :) (shpanky here) beep me on ICQ sometime... oh, and how's the aunt doing?

Also, when did you get on at 3dfx? You never told me about all that. :)

<<CAD tests don't count. Nothing close to a game.

Actually they do.>>

That's debateable. Games operate completely differently than CAD. If the geforce T&L unit is tuned and designed around CAD type operations it will be very subpar for games. This also goes two ways, when 3dfx enables T&L if their implimentation is geared towards games it will probably be very inefficient for CAD.

hey Chad,

I don't have you number. I'm 22372042.

Aunt is doing MUCH better. Thanks for asking.

I started at 3dfx about a month and a half ago.

"I'm sorry thorin, but I don't follow what you are saying. My comment was toward the fact that it would stupid, if not impossible to put linux on the XBox. Let me explain why I think this."

Hmmmmm. Can we say iOpener, among others. Never meant to have a real keyboard, an HD, or run anything but QNX. It was hacked. Until it comes out no one can be 100% posative but if you don't think someone will mod the XBox then you're naive.
(that's Evian backwards for those of you who buy/drink bottled water).

I don't have any links that say 70%. I don't think I need one.. hell, I could go make one if you want though. it is math. Use it.

Aw wow man woulda ya really do that for me? And it'll say waht 2+2=5 ? Heh.... Just kidd'n.

There are lots of benchmarks etc... (even quotes in this thread) that show the GTS performing at more then 70% of the marketing numbers they publish.

In 32-bit color, if I recall correctly (don't remember what resolution I based this on) I came up with 698% efficiency.
