Supposedly, there is a report going around where Microsoft said they have been shipping them since July.

People are getting the new version from target, in some locations.

Well damn. August 8 (yesterday) it was 350. Now it's 330? Good thing Amazon has a 30 day price guarantee, cause I just bought it yesterday. At least I'm glad I bought it from Amazon.

Yah but Amazon prob has several warehouses throughout the US and which stock you get is probably based on your distance to a warehouse and the shipping method so we probably cant be sure unless we wait about a month.
 
An update for everyone

The console I purchased yesterday from Amazon is NOT the new Falcon unit. It does not have HDMI, and the manufacture date is 10/2006.

That's disappointing, but for the price it is a heck of a deal.

I would personally return it or call MS immediately because you will have issues with this console.

Premium consoles manufactured on/after July 4, 2007 use the new Falcon board and include HDMI. They also have the new 65nm CPU and the extra GPU heat sink fan.

** I just completed an RMA with MS a week ago. The manufactured date on my replacement was 11/2006 as well. ** (it looked brand new)

If you sent it back to MS, don't expect the newer version.
