NICE!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering why CuBase was always giving me headaches.

I have a question for you guys on the board.

I have the elite pro, and it seems that every so often, something happens that completely disables to volume on the breakout box. However, if I push on the button it mutes like its suppose to, but it will not change the volume, even with the remote. The last time this happened, I had to do a complete uninstall, including some registry editing, to get it to work.

Anyone else have this issue and possibly a quick fix?

Schweetpants.

5.12.1.1181 -> 1187

OpenAL driver version has likewise changed but the file size is identical and in any case OAL 1.1 is not a new feature as claimed in the notes since 'twas beta in May and final in July. OAL library (router & wrapper) are same as developer release.

Nice they removed the previous versions, including ye olde tyme beta, from intarweb downloads as they confoozed some volks (particularly thinking only ze beta supported OAL).

Are you guys uninstalling the old driver, rebooting, and then installing the new one, or are you simply installing the updated driver over the old one?

FWIW I do the latter....but I was curious how others go about it.

I was in the habit of doing the former by expanding the driver pack and running the Setup Utilility (for instance \drivers\support\i386\ctzapxx.exe") to first uninstall then again to install. However Creative's automatic installer routine works fine so doing so is unnecessary. I still manually remove needless startup items though such as cthelper &c.
