Okay, so my old wireless D-link 802.11b router broke the other day. I went to circuit city and bought a netgear 802.11g router and a netgear 802.11g USB adapter. The problem is I'm getting exteremely slow speeds (~100KB/ps down) with the new setup. My previous wireless D-Link setup would get around the same speeds if directly wired (~500KB/ps). Now I don't know alot about 802.11B and G, is there a difference? I thought G was better, is it not? The D-Link was a cheaper buy AND older technology and it was alot better. Does Netgear just suck or do I have some settings wrong?
