I'm going to painted the case Midnight Black with Red Lights this time...

Liberator21,

I make them 🙂

I use a abrasive cut offwheel to do most of the straight work cutting against a metal straight edge as a guide and shapes with a Mounted Grinding / Carbide Point Bit in a over sized Dremel

I use painters tape and glue a graphic to the tape and cut it out with a Axcto Knife

Here are more Pics of the Progress of cutting the window out.......

Pics are pre filing and just roughed out...

You can get an angle grinder with wheels at Harbor Freight .com for about $20 and then finish it with a round and 1/2 round file that I think HF also sells..

Not supr quality but good enough to cut computer cases..

Al;so if your a green horn metal worker for safety get safety glasses or face shield and a pair of welding gloves from HF as they are super thick and if you slip you would have a harder time cutting threw your gloves and hurting yourself..

I use clear silicon to attach the plexi to the case side...

I'll post some pics soon when plastic from ebay comes and I do the sand blast etching......

I finished cutting window and painting case black with silver metalic ...

I also started and almost have finished the plexiglass etching which I have uploaded a bunch of pics of the old box and the new design here

The ETCHING was done like this......

I coved paper that comes with plexiglas with painters tape..
Bacd choice as I should have used normal tape as it holds better 🙂

I then scalled image and printed and glued it together as it did not fit on one sheet and I then glued that with Elmers to the tape..

I then used a standard razor knife to cut to all the lines well..

I then pelled out the parts to be ecthed and took it out side to be sand blasted with a $20 Harbor Freight hand held blaster..

You could use shelf paper and just cut out a colored decal or use spray paint or some knid of stain.. I seen a few PC Cooler places online with UV color stain for wires that might be nice as I am using Black Light bulbs is this case..

Any questions jst ask...

nice work for the way you are doing it, very amazing.

Not sure if you'dlike the idea, but since you are having Calvin pissing into the fan; maybe you can make it look like it blows it back on him, lol

Wood Butcher,

I use Play Sand from HD BUT it has to go threw a strainer to remove about 1/2% of the sand is to big and will clog the nosel...

Presure is about 90 psi
The sand works better than when I did it at work with a blasting media..
The grit was to fine and the air pressure was to high and blew off the masking..

Zepper,

I had thought of a different image SONIC THE HEDGEHOG and after downloading 50 images I could not find one i could rasterize and make a line drawing from 🙁

I too thought Calvin time was up but I had the image already to go..
