After 11 years of owning my 98 Passat 1.8T 5M, I felt it was the time to get into something newer.

So I went out and picked up a CPO 2014 Ford Fiesta ST in Ingot Silver.

All I want to do is drive this thing, man it is so much fun!

Pretty slick, I have an older Mazda 3 Hatch that looks a lot similar that I like, with a 2.3 Ford engine in it I believe.

Fun little hatchbacks.

The Fiestas do look pretty cool.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My old 2006 starting get a bit long in the tooth, but it still is running nice.

I'd like to trade er in for one of the new MX5's, but I doubt it.

Great looking car - I'd love to pick one up in a few years.

Just curious, how many miles and how much did you pay (if you don't mind)? I'm surprised to see one of these as a CPO so soon, or maybe this car has been on sale for longer than I thought.

It had just under 8k on it when I bought it, but after the 110 mile trip home, just over 8k now. I paid 19,500 for it, original sticker was 24,xxx with the Recaro package, Navigation and Moonroof. For some reason the PO didn't go all in and get the painted wheels and brake calipers, but otherwise fully loaded.

Carfax said it was initially sold as new on 8/4/14, so just under a year ago.

A guy I work with has a blue one. He let me take it for a test drive when he picked it up. Ton's of fun and a small little car. I prefer the Focus myself, but the Fiesta is an awesome car. The hatch is extremely useful too.

It's a blast to drive compared to my last car but it was old and worn and in serious need of TLC.

My first choice was a Focus ST, but the dealer I bought the FiST from wouldn't budge off the price of 27,9 even though it was a 2014 (2015s just came out) and they had THREE of them. I was a bit shocked. But, after driving the FiST the Focus feels huuuuuugggggeeee. Comparatively the FiST is the same width and height as my old Passat (only shorter, obviously) so it feels about the same inside. A bit narrower side to side due to extra airbags, but has a cockpit feel because of how raked the windshield is.

I drive a G35 Sedan so the FiST felt tiny comparatively. The Focus even felt small. But I do really like the FiST and think Ford hit a home run with it. Well built, solid, great mpg and the turbo in that thing is a blast. Guy at work absolutely loves his.

That price is insane for the focus. When I priced out a 2014 last year they were down to 23 but I decided not to switch.

I think the issue with the Focus is the huge dashboard and center stack makes it feel cramped even though it's bigger in every dimension.

The FoST was an ST3, meaning loaded to the teeth, but yea with incentives it was about 24,5 my offer was start at 24,5 before incentives and we can work something out, he said nope the price is the price. Meh, whatever I'm happy with my FiST 😀
