That's 5th 18" wheel I've bent now - left front arctic somehow took it in the past month or two. Ended up with a slight bend on the inner lip; no clue when that happened.

Anyway, I've given up on 18s and picked up a set of 17" BBS RCs OEM from A6 sport package. They're supposedly 17lbs, though probably closer to 19. Currently getting powdercoated with ebony chrome :)

Ebony chrome should be a bit darker and shinier. Something like this:

Switch your bent wheels to the back unless they're totally bent. Isn't it cheaper to just get 1 replacement wheel?

Geezus how do you bend so many wheels? Ever heard of actually running some tire on that wheel?

I did already, it still vibrates a bit. I can get it straightened out for 80 bucks, but I'll let someone else do that. Need some all seasons anyway, the 18s have summers on.

Nice. I like that style. The TSW Nurburgring has a similar style, which I'm looking to get soon.

I agree on going with 17's. 18's have more expensive tires, weigh more, etc. No reason to stick with 18's if you can get a wide enough wheel in a 17. And for me, I'll be able to use my stock spare if I need to.

Honestly I don't get people that bend lots of wheels either. Yes, I'll add to the bashing.

SoCal is usually rated as having some of the worst roads in the nation. I've yet to bend a wheel and I haven't had tires with any significant sidewall in at least 7 years. Maybe you need stronger wheels?

I've hit some rough shit with my BBS's and they are fine from what I can tell. You must be driving over some crazy potholes to bend that many rims.

I still like the classix better, though those are a close second.

Yeah, replicas of the RS4 wheels. Got a sweet deal. Im keeping the Classix for autox/track use

About BBS strength/quality. One of my friends hit a slick spot in his GTI, slide sideways into a curb at 40 MPH, smacked the front and back BBS CH's on the curb.

Neither of the wheels bent at all after taking a 90º impact at 40 MPH. VERY impressive strength

Were they Huffs? Those are ridiculously strong for a stock wheel.
