New weekend toy

Picked up a new toy Christmas weekend. Drove 12 hours to go get it and another 12 back.
1987 Pontiac Trans Am. 5.7L V8. Has custom tuned ECM, 2500 stall convertor, headers\exhaust, custom ait intake, updated TPI runners with port matched plenum/base, larger throttle body, and 150 shot.
It has a few cosmetics to fix, but nothing major. The bird on the hood needs to be redone, the spoiler is going to get replaced with a fiberglass repro, and there is a small spot of clear coat on the drivers A pillar that needs to be fixed.
I missed my 91 GTA so much, that when I saw this one come up I had to jump on it.
(The pics are from the guy that I bought it from as it hasn't let up raining here since I got it 🙁 )

Nope, it was just shy of $3K, but I also got a full 2nd set of wheels with tires, 2 more tires that arn't mounted, another engine, transmission, engine stand, misc. parts, a laptop with the programming software and the adapter to flash eproms so I can retune the car if /when I learn to do it.

I've got a set of sub-frame connectors, aluminum drive shaft, strut tower brace, and the replacement spoiler ordered. Just need them to get here.

What's wrong with it? Seriously, that seems like an amazing deal.

He was originally asking $4500 for it. None showed any interest in it other than a few tire kickers and he had to get rid of it to make room for his other cars and his LS1 Camaro project.

I guess he just out grew it when he went LS1. The interior needs a good cleaning and the driver seat has a rip in it, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. For a 23 year old car it is in amazing shape. He left his log book in the center console that he kept track of his oil changes and when he installed/replaced any part and he only drove it about 2K miles in the last year. Wh7y pay for insurance and up keep on something you're not going to enjoy?
She (the car) came from a good home and went to a good home. She will be well loved 😀
