new website domain and DNS questions

Hey group,

I set up a new domain on Sunday nite via Namecheap.com and defined my name servers to it (ns1.aaronheck.com and ns2.aaronheck.com).
I also set up a hosting account (where I got the above name server names) and ftp'd up my html file using the IP address. 2 days later, in DOS, when trying to ping by hostname, the name resolves, so I'm guessing DNS is working, but the IP addresses are not matching.

From my DOS window:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pinging www.aaronheck.com [216.52.184.238] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

but yet I can access the site at http://64.191.47.136

Can anyone help me understand where the different IP addresses are coming from and what exactly is going on?

well can you access the site by aaronheck.com in a browser? It might be in a load balanced situation, or your name servers could be messed up.

Well I just tried it and I can get to it in the browser fine, and when I ping is resolves to 64.191.47.136 so you look good to go.

Really..working for you, huh? Still not working by name on my PC, either via DOS ping or in a IE browser. Guess I'll wait some more. Maybe it's making its way thru the system.
