Makes it even more sketchy since both reseller ratings profiles are linked to the same store.

Well, there are two Shentech's listed on reseller ratings.

The first Shentech has a 6 month reseller rating of 3.54 and a lifetime rating of 7.05.

The second Shentech has a 6 month and lifetime rating of 8.75.

They look to be the same, but I'm not too sure.

the second one only has two reviews, the first one is a more likely indicator

Yeah, and the 2 reviews on the second one were probably from/by the company too!

I seem to recall that the 9100 is the same as the 8500. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

I've heard of Shentech many times but have no experience with them nor have I heard anything positive or negative. I would, however, be fairly concerned about buying from any reseller who does this to its product description:
ASS KICK¡¯n graphics performance
XTASY 9100, powered by ATI¡¯s RADEON? 9100 VPU with 128MB DDR memory gives BITCH¡¯N EYE CANDY! TRUFORM? technology makes stuff more rounded and natural-like, while HYPER Z? II saves bandwidth for better performance in your more demanding sit-e¡¯ations¡

ATI¡¯s SMOOTHVISION,? anti-aliasing, kicks the CRAP out of visual distortion resulting in smoother looking images. HI-RES 32-bit, 3D gaming up to 2048x1536 means when ¡®intense applications¡¯ come out to play, XTASY 9100 says: ¡° BI-A-TCH! GO MAKE ME A SAMWICH!!¡±
Almost as though Shentech's website was 'hacked' or something. I can't imagine any real business doing that.

They are similar. The Radeon 8500 ran at 275MHz gpu and 275MHz memory. The 9100s are supposed to be 250MHz gpu and 250MHz memory. The 8500 can make samwiches a little bit faster

haha yeah... they are going for market recognition. I did a double take when I got my 64mb 9100 too... but yeah, that is what it is on the back of the box. Visiontek's a perfectly fine company though, so don't worry about that.

Um, is there no way to see what the actual total cost would be (with shipping) without completing the transaction to buy? I hate sites that want the CC # before saying the total shipped cost. *sigh*
