I disagree. Pricing reflects AMD trying to be competitive, and that's really almost all they have going up against intel. Remember Bulldozer's initial pricing? That didn't reflect performance very well did it.

Don't know if that is accurate - I'm sure some of the more informed around here know for sure - but those darn NDA's get in the way.

what he means is that the highest end part is still cheaper than the i5 3570K, which in all likelihood means AMD is still a long ways off from truly competing outside of undercutting the competition, something they simply cannot keep doing and expect to succeed

$208 for FX 8350 is pretty good pricing imo even if it's just a 10% increase in performance over bulldozer (AMD claim up to 15%). The 8350 should be able to hold it's ground decently enough against the i7 2600k hopefully, and it will definitely pull it apart from the i5 2500k. Unfortunately, essentially Pileldriver is what Bulldozer should have been in the first place....

kinda how phenom 2 was what phenom should have been in the first place.
 
Just got a 8150 a while back for $170.00 so I'll wait till the price drops and I see the true comparisons of the 8150 to the 8350.
