New virus?

Has anyone heard of this virus that seems to be using IM? One of my friends has this thing on her computer that whenever she is talking to people on IM a link will be sent to the other person without her knowing about it, and all that seems to happen after this is that it sets IE's homepage to some porn sites, etc. And then the person that got the link sent to them has the same thing happen to them (the link just keeps getting sent to whoever you talk to). Does anyone know about this or heard ab out this or a way to get rid of it? Norton oesnt seem to detect it and i dont know how else to find it and remove it

Probably just a spyware. Try Ad-aware or something similar.
