No price yet but this monitor is looking so sweet. I'm hoping MSRP is sub $1000:

From Viewsonic? Somehow I doubt it'll be sub $1000... especially being a 23" But it's nice to wish 🙂
But maybe next year it wil be. Yeah, that's pretty cool alright.

you can buy it now for a nice $4,657.50

Ouch. While I was sure sub $1000 was never going to happen I was thinking more like $1500-$2200 or so. Of course its pretty new so prices will probably drop some in not too long. Unless it has much better quality (which is possible) its probably going to need to be in the $1600-$2000 range to really compete with the nice 23"'s already out from Sony and HP among others.

yeah $4600 is maybe too much, but i just noticed the site is in newzealand (co.nz) so maybe its not in US dollars, 1NZ$=0.75US$ i think... so anyway its still in the $3000 range

Yeah, it was purely wishful thinking that it would be more like $1800. But that much more? Rediculous. Bah, don't know if I should go for a 4:3 or go for the Dell 2005 widescreen.

Have you received it yet? Let me know what you think. I can get it for $600 using my company's discount deal with Dell, so I'm about ready to pull the trigger.
