I'm looking for a mid range video card for my PC. Was wondering if I should go ATI or Nvidia, and me not know too much is why i'm asking.

I'm looking for AGP slot card that is preferrably 256mb. My MoBo supports 8x/4x AGP +1.5V cards. Apparently 3.3 is out of the question...dunno wtf that means though =/

I'm looking to spend around $100 and all input is very much welcome.

I think 3.3 volt cards were in the days of 3DFX...Someone correct me if im wrong but today all current cards are 1.5 volt. What card are you running now ? And what games do you play if any ?
 
Hrmm I had a PCI Nvidia geforce 5200 I believe....very old. So anything would be an upgrade. Just looking for something that will be a good chip for around $100.
