New Version of XP Barton 2500+ Cannot Be Modded to MP?!

I bought 2 pcs of Barton 2500+ yesterday. I connect the last bridge of L5 but they could not be detected as MP.
The surfaces and packages seem to a little different as before.

Could I mod new barton to MP via pin assignment instead of the surface bridge? How?

Best regards,

to use it is a dual processor of course.

But then again, why would you do if you're not going to use it as a dual?.

My mainboard is Tyan 2466 which is a dual-CPU set.
I wish I could know the method to crack them out.

I've heard that there is a thin layer of coating keeping you from doing it. Try scraping it away with a file.

You might also have more luck on the 2cpu.com forums, there's not much of a dually community here.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the new packaging.

Solution?

Wonderful!! That is exactly the solution!!
It was not easy but worth(because of the very small size laser hole). I finally modded up my new XP 2500+ to MP and tweak it up a little with XP-TMC(2000MHz).

One CPU was successful at the first time and the other at the second time.

Thanks to all!!
