Did Microsoft release a new version of XP that included service pack 1?

I believe some OEMs will slipstream SPs onto CDs, but I don't think MS themselves release official ones.

You can always make your own by merging SP1 into XP and burning to CD. That's what I did.

I don't know if they released it for retail sale, but I'm assuming they will. My MSDN subscription now has "XP with SP1" - can't even get it without SP1 anymore.

Please explain? Would I copy the CD to my HDD & then copy the files from SP1 into the dir overwriting any old files?
Or do you mean something else?
