I got two of these a couple weeks ago, same deal but no free shipping. I pulled the microdrive, but I cannot get it to work in a Nikon D100 camera. It will format fine in a USB card reader, but will not format in the camera. There are still questions as to whether or not Creative did the same thing to these as they did to the 4gb ones. I did put a 1gb CompactFlash into the thing and updated the firmware and just like the 4gb one this works great with it.

I have this in the 4gb version. Awesome battery life, but the major, near fatal flaw, is the inability to really access all the songs. The menu system really sucks out loud and that's where I'll go apple or other next time. At $200, its a bit steep for the tiny screen. The quality of the sound is quite good. I use Grado headphones and it really rocks for the cost (a year ago). The ipod mini is better in my opinion simply becuase it does the menu better. WHat good is 4 or 5gb if accessing X song is so damned tough?

If you are considering this, ask yourself if you are a simple play and go listener or whether you'd actually like to find a song quickly. If the former, then its a great little machine, if the latter, look elsewhere.
