inside your game folder (wherever you installed the game), there will be a folder labeled "system." the unrealtournament.ini is in that folder.

by the way thanks for the new Open GL renderer oldfart...the one that originally came with the game looked like sh!t if you didn't have the right card. i'm using an nVidia Ti4200, and the new OGL looks as good, if not better than the D3D i was using previously. my average framerate has literally gone from 60 fps to 85 fps.

anyways, i do have one small problem. i'm getting a visual artifact with burn marks (when a rocket, the redeemer, or the relic of vengeance explodes, leaving a black burn mark on the ground/wall/whatever it blew up next to) and also with shadows cast by bots/other players. i get horizontal lines through the burn marks or shadows. i wish i could upload a picture and show everyone, but i can't do that here, so hopefully some of you know what i'm talking about. i don't get any visual artifacts while using Direct3D, which is a big plus, but if there's a way to get rid of the one i'm seeing using OGL, i'd rather use OGL.

ok, i had a closer look at the burn marks and shadows, and the anomalies i see in them don't necessarily always come in the form of horizontal lines through the texture. if i could explain it better, i'd have to say that it seems like part of the texture goes missing. when i pan across such a texture, the anomalies tend to flicker on and off. if i stop panning in thr right place and hold my player still, i can see the whole texture. likewise, if i stop panning in the right place, i can see the texture and the anomalies in it. s there anything i can toggle in the UT.ini to maybe fix this? is my video card just not going to run OGL flawlessly no matter what i try?
