I just completed a system using a K8NGM2-FID board. Equipment includes a 3800+ CPU using the stock AMD fan/heatsink, 2 gigs of Corsair memory, 300 gig Maxtor PATA for the C: drive, Maxtor 300 gig SATA for the D: drive and a NEC dvd burner. The system came with bios version 3.2 (dated 2-7-06).
CPU-Z indicates the core speed is 2411.0 Mhz, a 12x Multiplier, and the HTT at 200.9 Mhz. The system runs smoothly using the on-board video (the system isn't used for serious gaming).
On other boards I've used SpeedFan to give temperature readouts for the CPU, Hard Drives, etc - but SpeedFan doesn't work with this motherboard. Can anyone point me to software that will allow temp readouts for the CPU, chipsets, etc????
