Hmmmm, it doesn't look so bad in that second picture with the black plastic cladding, but it is still FUGLY!!

<< I still think it looks the best out of all cute-utes. >>

What's wrong with you boy? You're taking your Chrysler infatuation to far!! 😉 The best looking cute-utes by far are:

1) '01 Toyota RAV4
2) '01 Mazda Tribute
3) '01 Ford Escape

The new Liberty gets the award for best Puke-Ute😛

I can't help it. 🙂 But still, is there anyone on this forum that likes the new ute? I mean, even the Aztec got some admirers on this forum...can this be worse than the Aztec???

Well DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

90% of SUV's never see anything rockier than a gravel dirt road in the backwoods. Do you think that Susan and John are gonna risk putting a dent in their $35k Grand Cherokee or $55k Navigator? Hell no.

Mini-utes like the Escape were never meant for serious off-road use (although they can handle some obstacles). They are made for grocery getting like all of the car-based SUV's. Even the died-in-the-wool hardcore SUV's like the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Discovery, etc. spend more time at the grocery store and the mall than climbinb rocks. In fact, they've probably never seen a rock taller than 6 inches high.

I'd rather have an Escape 🙂 And I know that Ford makes quality sport-utes as our two Explorers have been trouble free.

I like it, plus since its a Jeep it will probably have more off-road capability than other small SUVs.

Whew...finally someone else besides me that like it. 🙂

I've heard this new ute will have pretty good offroad capabilities...it has undergone testing on California's famed Rubicon Trail.

Unless it can tackle the highway and the trip to the mall without a bumpy ride, it won't find many buyers these days 🙂
