I'm looking for a new television but I really don't know anything about today's TVs. Can you guys recommend me some ones to look at? I glanced in a best buy but they all look the same to me when in the store. I'm really interested in good quality picture and around 50". I'm not interested in 3d or a smart one but if there's a good quality one then I'll check it out. Budget is around $1000.
 
Try to find a good deal on a Samsung. They have different tiers with their tvs. Its in the model #. I can't remember exactly how they go now but it would be something like 5500 6500 and 7500. My local best buy has a Samsung rep there if your store has one go talk to them.

At your budget your gonna end up getting a smart TV, only the low end models don't have the smart functions anymore
