New Trend: Guys wearing girls' jeans.

So a buddy of mine's little brother is in a band. The kid's a really nice guy, artsy, a tad on the emo side, but seems pretty normal.

Through conversation, I complimented his jeans. Yes, I did it. They were pretty sweet, and I asked him where he got them. He mentioned some store in the girls department, and I was like, man, that's kinda crazy.

Turns out to be a trend. Ever since then, I've noticed a lot of guys wearing jeans that are cut big thru the butt, tight around the legs, and baggy again at the ankles...

Has this been around for a while?

Lola just pointed this out to me yesterday. That was the first time I had ever seen it. the new 'cool' is to be effeminate, I guess.

Offshoot of the Emo trend I imagine. Friggin kids and thir stupid fads. I was that way 15 years ago with MC Hammer pants, fluorescent yellow shirts and iridium Oakley's with gel in the hair...my god the ignorance of youth.

Like bell bottoms?

Its hard enough for me to find men's jeans in my size, let alone girl's jeans. I don't think I'll be jumping on the bandwagon anytime soon.

whats wrong with that? now if you dont mind, i have to go run some errands...

/puts on pink collared shirt and pops the collar

Do they use Lady's Speedstick as well? 😕

I've seen this fad, too. Hell, now they've gone so far as producing men's jeans with a woman's figure in mind.

PC: To each his own, I guess.
NPC: Fsck that.

well for years i've been seeing girls in the guys dept buying guys shirts/pants/etc so its only natural that guys would come around and do the same...i'll keep buying my levis from the mens dept though thank ya very much

Funny story, the other day I built a time machine, and i went back to 1999, and while I was back there, I met Pablo. I pointed the guys in girl's jeans trend to him. I made him vow that 6 or 7 years later, when everyone already knew that people did this, that he would make a post on ATOT about it. Thank you Pablo, you're a man of your word.

I think the girls that do that do it out of comfort, as mens clothing is more comfortable. Why a guy would want to wear more restricting womens clothing I'll have no clue...

sounds like the boot cut jeans i bought. they ended up being too small for me in the crotch area so i returned them, but they were kinda tight around the thighs and then looked like bell bottoms almost a little down past the knee. i was like fvck that, even if they did fit properly, they looked retarded.

whats weird is that i have 3 pairs of jeans all the same size and by the same company. 2 are really baggy and the 3rd isn't. its somewhat baggy but not near as baggy as the others.

I goto ART SCHOOL... If you ever wanted to see this trend in action... goto a fricken art school. Mainly the kids who wear them are "Scene Kids" as in the hard-core scene. I had a friend who used to have his jeans altered so that they were even tighter around his ankles, he looked like he was wearing denim tights, dumbass.

I used to "peg" or tightroll my jeans when I was in grade school. 😱
