I picked up a 92 Vulcan 750 today. It should be a fun little toy to ride to work in the summer.

It has 12.6K on it, and Kelly Blue Book is 1830.00, I paid 100.00 more than that since it had the windshield, bags, and low miles. The guy had it covered up under his carport, and it had not been started for 2 weeks. We took the cover off, and with a cold engine, it fired right up with little choke and just purred. He also had receipts for oil changes twice a year, and had the carbs rebuilt and adjusted two months ago, and the tank cleaned. The engine was clean enough to eat off of when I uncovered it. I drove it around my yard, and up the dirt road at my dads house. The clutch is perfect, with no slip, and no backfiring when I rev the engine. It had been parked on concrete, so I could see there was not leaks anywhere. The tires have at least 3/4 or more tread left on them. The brakes are good, with plenty pad on the front, and the rear tensioner has plenty of room to go. No leaks on any of the shocks, but I am a much bigger guy than the fellow that I got it from. I might have to crank up the shocks a little after I drive it.

Sounds like a winner! Nice find!

Thanks. I am proud of it. I have not owned a bike in 20 years. I was scared to death going up the gravel road at my dads. I had it on the pavement and hit second gear with it. It is really smooth, but below 5mph on gravel, I have to watch what I am doing. I have a bad habit of wanting to put my foot down. If I keep that up, I will be in a cast before long. The bike weighs just under 500lbs. I forgot to mention, it still had the original manual, and tool kit in the glove box behind the seat. I was surprised to see it.

Nice looking bike. I'm not sure if I like the seat, but your passenger sure as hell will.
Is that a radiator I see on the front?

Yes that is the radiator. I think I am going to take off the back extension. My size 16 catches on it every time I get on the bike.

lol, close, 6'4. I was laughing so hard the other, my boss was describing me to one of the sales girls on the phone. At first, he said I was a big guy, then after her response, he said no, WWE big.

bike has hit the ground before..... broken brake lever. Anyhow looks real nice, hardly believe it's 18 years old.

Thanks. Other than the lever, the gauges are nice and tight, and nothing scuffed up. Its nice and tight. Thanks, I can't wait to get new plates, and insured this week.

Tread depth on a motorcycle tire is almost meaningless. The more important question is how old are they? If they are more than a few years old, I'd replace them.
