New top level domain extensions. Ideas?

If applying for a new extension wasn't so cost prohibitive, I'd submit a few applications. As is, applying for an extension uncontested will set you back around $200,000. Contested extensions will exceed $500,000. Obvious new extensions will hit the auction block and sell for ridiculous amounts.

I'd register .xom, since it is a common typo.

Your ideas?

Agreed. Companies that want to preserve their TLD placement will be forced to register all the domains!

I think they should have left it with .com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov and .mil (though .mil should be private DNS for the military only).
