New to wireless - which router?

I'm getting an XBOX 360 in the next week or so and I want to get a wireless router for it. Initially the 360 will be the only thing using wireless but potentially in the next year or so I'll have a PC or two on it as well. I don't do any heavy network traffic and I'm not planning anything besides the simplest form of home network. It's possible my main PC will stay wired for a long time and it could be a couple years before I switch to VoIP.

My slight preference is to go with a brand Futureshop sells in Canada (Dlink or Linksys) as I have a bunch of giftcards - but if warned against either (I've been reading some bad stuff about dlink support) I will go with something else.

My questions:

1) Stick with G? Draft N still too 'draft'?
2) Linksys OK? DLink bad?
3) If Linksys - which WRT54? Something newer? (Futureshop has the WRT54G-CA)
4) QoS - Any point on a smaller network without VoIP?
5) Third party firmware... worth it?

I can't think of any more questions right now.... Sorry if some of these are discussed a lot in the forum, I don't have time these days to do my normal product research.

Thanks!

What should you get? http://www.ezlan.net/buffalo.html

Best current price, http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd...ctDetail.do?oid=155054

Wow... it's really hard to find Buffalo routers in Canada. FrontierPC.com is the only site I've found so far... Any suggestions on a Canadian retailer?

Stay away from Linksys. I have a WRT54G and it's a worthless piece of crap. Putting a hacked firmware on it solved my connection stability issues but brought on other ones. :|
