I want to install a telnet app on my website to use from work. Currently all telnet sites are banned ect. Going to use it for mudding only 🙂 What steps would I need to go through to install a program that allows me to telnet from my site?

Yes, I play a mud, and wanted to play at work, but telnet is disabled and telnet sites are blocked here.

Something like this?: http://www.mudconnect.com/java/Telnet/ You might be able to obtain the client code and install it on your website.

You can also use putty. it has some pretty neat features.

Keep in mind that Java applets are downloaded to your computer before they run. So any outgoing connections from the applet are made from your work computer, not the website you browse to in order to see the applet.
