Im new to routers in general and need to a recommendation on what to buy. Ive got comcast cable, use VOIP through a Phone Power adapter, and I want to get wireless so I can use it gaming Wii, psp, ds. I purchased some pos router at a yard sale that says "Wireless Broadband Router" model #WR514W for .25$ I eventually got it all working but the wifi speeds were so slow ive unhooked it. Im looking for bang for my buck, so cheap is good. Thanks. Sorry if this should have been in general hardware or something.

Look at the buffalo routers. They're generally pretty good. JackMDS posts a link to one he likes in particular in most of the "which router" threads.

Yeah I looked at that one, didnt know if my low requirement needs would even need one that nice. But if im going to be able to tell a substantial difference for my money im all for it.

Im trying to decide which router to go with.

Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 $61.98 freeship on Amazon.

Asus WL-520GU $34.99 after rebate freeship on newegg

At almost twice the cost is the Buffalo worth the money?

Once flashed with DD-WRT they are basically the same.

The Buffalo has better/stronger Wireless (more distance coverage).

So if you need long distance get the the Buffalo, otherwise the Asus is a good bargain.
