It's best to show the FSB not at the doubled rate, so your FSB is 166, not 333, which means your multiplier is 11, not 5.5.

While you might be able to OC a little with the factory HSF, I would advise buying a better one if you want to take it all the way to 2200MHz(11x200). I am not sure the factory HSF can keep this CPU cool enough when you OC it that high. You can try though, but keep an eye at LOAD temps and try to keep them under 65*C.

I have this one with a 50+ CFM fan.

You can't use the Zalman 7000 series as your mobo doesn't have the 4 mounting holes around the CPU socket.

To be honest, most any HSF rated for at least a XP 3200+ from a good OEM is better than the retail one. Ya, the ones for $30-$50 are the best, but you can still work with a $20-$30 one.

please check post in cooling for some ideas I thought may work

and also how should I set the multiplier when I get it cooled down and want to oc
should it be for instance 333*5.5 or 166*11

oh forgot I had the 2 front case fans in backwords due to no directional infor inclued so now cpu running @ 48C

Ok you guys or gals here's my current pc
antec plus 1080 amg-with 2 rear exhausts fans, 1sid intake fan for graphics card, 2 fron intake fans(side and front fans are pc toys 52.6cfm)
gigabyte 7n400 mobo
athlon 2500+ baton 30th week '03 build
geforce fx 5600 graphics card
1 80gig maxtor hd
1 160gig maxtor hd
1 dvd rom
1 dvd +/- rw
1 cd burner
floppy

now my main concern is the heatsink and fan for my processor but am on a budget under $30. And I realy do appreciate all the feed back I am getting

I'm currently using a Vantec Aeroflow, like THIS.. I got mine for about $25..

An all copper thermalright w/b best. But its gonna be over your budget unless you find a sale. I have an SLK 947U I got on sale for $25, but it doesn't come with a fan

Ok I have made a decision I have ordered the coolermaster alps silent heat pipe for $28 from gameve.com will post my temps when get it
