New to OCing CPU

Hello, I am thinking about OCing my Pentium D 820, and I am wondering exactly how I would go about doing this. I have a Dell, and I understand that they lock the BIOS so that you cannot change the frequency. Is this true? The mobo chipset is i945G and it's on the Dell A05 BIOS.

You've got two choices: 1) sell the Dell 2) flash the BIOS with a BIOS that allows overclocking. I wouldn't recommend you try #2, though, since it doesn't seem as if you know much about BIOS's. You'll have to buy a new motherboard, if you dont' flash it right, or flash it with the wrong BIOS.

Alright. Well, a new PC isn't exactly in the plan at the moment, but i'll probably be building my own next time. Thanks.
