New to MAC Question..Just got MINI MAC off FS forum

Is there supposed to be a disk for iLife? It was installed on the old OSX installation, but doing a format and fresh install did not have it?

Any help would be great....I am learning alot with this.

It comes with new systems I think, but not if you just buy the OS. You can purchase it seperately.

Okay, I have the MAC MINI system...it says on their website that it comes with it.

Just wondered if anyone that purchased one could tell me if it came with a disk.

I purchased one. I got 1 disc with it.

You say you did a fresh install of Tiger. A fresh install is going to wipe all of your old data, which explains why you no longer have iLife. If you did an upgrade, an option you should have been able to choose during install, it wouldnt have wiped your HD. You would still have iLife on there. Since you did a fresh install, wiping your HD, you have to purchase iLife seperatly. iLife 05 costs about $79. You can purchase older versions of iLife, such as iLife of 04 for much cheaper.

You need the original restore disk 1 to install "bundled" apps.

I don't remember if the Mini came with one or two cd's. If one, the iLife apps are probably on that cd. You can extract the apps using third party software. Pacifist

This will allow you to extract programs from the mac install cd. If it is just one cd, the iLife apps are probably on it. If 2, the second disc should be the Install bundle software cd, or install classic, or something like that. I am sure the iLife apps are on the first cd.
