Am I the only one that misses the fat tire look? (ie: large curved sidewalls and wide footprint)

I finally got the new tires put on. Dunlop FM901 215/55-16.
Pics

Looks kind of odd, since the stock size is 205/55, but better than 215/45 would look.

Btw, I found out what the reversing noise was... well the tire guy did. The left rear brake caliper had a bolt missing. It was behind held on by one bolt, which was loose. I'll get that fixed when I get my alignment.

What do you mean by reversing noise? My truck makes an occasional rubbing noise as it backs up

It was a scraping, bumping type noise. Getting it fixed as we speak.

I like that look. Not sure if it looks good on my car though! It definately looks different though, and I like the way the tires fill the wheel wells more. Not as good as wider wheels, but better than nothing. Maybe I should paint the DUNLOP logo white.. would that look good??!

Nice tires! Did you get them from Tire Rack? I recently ordered a set of (boring) Dunlops from Tire Rack--waiting for the rainy season to start before I get them mounted.

Here's Tire Rack's info for the FM901: FM901 The user comments are glowing!

And here's the obligatory "What's up wit the table?"

Got them from Discount Tire. Had them ordered late Monday afternoon and they got them in on Wednesday.

Apparently someone is throwing away the table. It's tipped over now. I saw a cat running away from it this morning.

These tires are spectacular. I didn't know my car could stick so hard to the road!! I corner at amazing speeds that scare passengers, but I have yet to lose traction. I'm afraid of what will happen when I do reach the limit. I need to rig up some kind of contraption to measure g force. Maybe a protractor and a weight or something... any engineers want to help me out?
