too bad he didn't go ahead and test on the smaller contact surface... the larger the contact surface, the less effect thermal paste has....

Yeah, there was 11 times the surface area of an AMD CPU in the Dan's Data tests. This means an 11 to 1 compression of results. Kind of makes the typical 4 to 1 compression of an in-socket thermistor look insignificant.
 
I didn't care to read the whole article... why? Because it sucks :disgust:

There have been other "comparisons" like this in the past, utilizing Armour canned meat (like SPAM) and other crap like that. Bottom line? AS3 kicks ass.
