Yup. T3 wasn't on the level of T2 but it still was very enjoyable.
T3 is what happens when you exploit a franchise for the sake of summer ticket sales. I thought it was an abomination on several levels, not the least of which was the premise of the "terminatrix". Oh I get it clever hollywood hacks, you've added "teh boobies" to a winning formula, to the robot antagonist no less, which is a sure fire way to add another $100 million dollars of teenage boy part-time McDonalds job money to your bottom line. Considering as I was on the brink of a vegetative state the only time I attempted to watch this movie, I can't quite recall if the terminatrixt had military grade missiles coming out of it's chest but it would've been a major break in style it weren't.
Nick Stahl did an "adequate" job because I think he's a decent actor, I jut don't like his face.
Arnold is as terrible of an actor as he ever was, and due to his extremely advanced age, he can't be taken seriously in the role of a synthetic robot from the future. Unless of course Skynet is getting senile and added "old fart" to "austrian accent" to it's list of evil android production glitches. Perhaps this is related to my gripe with the "terminatrix" and they were hoping to attract an undefined demographic with Arnold's sagging tits.
I can avoid anything with Michael Bay or Jerry Bruckheimer's name on it because I know they produce nothing but garbage, but the terminator franchise is something I happen to be pretty fond of so it irritates the piss out of me when I'm essentially suckered into watching one of those brain dead "flashy lights and loud noises" spectacles when I expect a continuation of a well written, well executed movie franchise.
I recall first seeing the trailers for T3 and nausea I felt when thy introduced the terminatrix. With the T4 trailer, I don't get a sense of nausea largely because it appears they're taking the franchise seriously again.
