I just put 2 new 80mm fans in my rig. One intake in the front, and one on the side next to the gpu. Then I took of my hsf of my x800xl, cleaned it and applied new thermal grease. Then I put it back on and started it all up. my x800xl was 45c idle and now it 34c idle. my cpu went down 4c as well.
Don't know why i'm sharing this except for I got overexcited.
 
Nice. I'm glad you did as I just built my first system a few days ago and believe I applied a bit too much arctic silver 5. I'm going to remove and reapply and was also thinking of adding an intake fan to the front of my Antec P180. I hope I get lower temps as well.
