Being a huge Taproot fan I figured I'd do some advertising of their new CD, Plead the Fifth. It's a step away from their last release and sounds much more like their earlier works, Welcome and Gift. Welcome is in my top 3 all-time records so this was a very welcome familiarity for me.

Here's a few links to some of the songs on the disc. It's a very dynamic album, going from very heavy to very mellow.

It opens up with Now Rise, which is one of the heaviest song they've ever released. Real heavy at 2:15:

Game Over is next. Very addicting chorus and just a kick ass song:

Next up is Fractured, their radio and music video release. Not my favorite song on the CD, but it's solid. 720p available:

Track 4 is Release Me. Awesome, awesome. Reminds me a lot of their 2002 release, Welcome. Has some cool Indian chants:

The last track I'm going to post is Stolage, which is being praised as the best song on the CD by many reviewers. I disagree, but what evs:

Ahh, I figure I'll post some vids from their CD, Welcome. A complete masterpiece in my book. I could listen to this CD every day and never get tired of it.

Somewhat unrelated, but I never realized that Deftones also released a new album only about two weeks ago. I'll have to look at this Taproot album some more as I was a pretty big fan of some of the songs on Gift.

I'm a big taproot fan. I got the cd the other day and listened to about 15 seconds of the first track and wasn't in the mood. I'll have to wait until I rage then I'll check the cd out.
