This thing runs mint. Installed hardware, booted up first try, installed Win 98 SE, drivers etc...Ran 3DMARK 2001...3360 3DMarks...My old system was 1934 3DMarks. Id say thats an improvement

And its running at a nice solid 38 Degrees C...solid.

Thanks a bunch for all your suggestions and help through the past few weeks. This system has turned out mint, and its largely due to the great advice I read here.

Very good. That looks like a great system. It is nice when everything comes up without conflicts or problems. Sometimes trouble shooting a hardware problem can be tricky without known good spare parts to swap out with.

Yeah...believe me I was worried when I put it all together. When I first plugged it in and turned it on, nothing happened. I freaked for a sc, then remembered I didnt turn the little switch on, on the back of the PS .... its always the stupid little things

But Day 2 and its still goin strong..and running very cool.

I used to be an Intel enthusiast...Ive been way way converted

I still hate my FOP38. Too loud, and it shakes the mobo so bad that I can hear the metal cases sides creaking.

Oh its loud...sounds like the inside of a 747 while you are waiting to take off

But I dont mind...doesnt bother me.

As for the shaking...I dunno...No probs with that here. =P
